Tutu Puoane

Tutu Puoane was born in a township near Pretoria. She studies at the University of Cape Town. She moved to Europe in 2002, to The Hague, the city where she studied. In 2004, she moved to Antwerp.

She has performed in South Africa, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the United States, Belgium and the Netherlands. With the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, she worked on tribute projects to Billie Holiday (Writing Billie) and Nina Simone (Goddamn! A tribute to…). She has played in concert with Dré Pallemaerts, the Brussels jazz orchestra, Ivan Paduart and Toots Thielemans. Tutu Puoane has released two solo albums, Song (2007) and Quiet Now (2009).Site officiel
