Aleph Quintet feature five young talented musicians, notably Wajdi Riahi, the young virtuoso pianist, avant-garde of the Belgian jazz scene. Awarded at the “Journées Musicales de Carthage” in Tunisia as well as the « Musical Press Price » “Shapes of Silence”, a first album welcomes two prestigious guests from the European jazz scene: Manuel Hermia (Hermia–Ceccaldi-Darfour) and Fabrizio Cassol (Aka Moon). It reveals their roots and strong influences by North African music mixed with jazz improvisation, Gnawa rhythms and Sufi culture.

Following the success of this first album and an international tour, Aleph quintet return to the Senghor stage in September 2023 with two prestigious guests: Fabrizio Cassol on alto sax and Ismail Altunbas on percussion. The result is a digital EP imbued with the magic of live performance, in which the ensemble delivers a musical language full of mastery and infectious joy.
